Birthday in a Box

Hello! Reni here, writing in on behalf of Birthday in a Box to introduce to you our members!

Name: Reni Chen

Age: 23

I had just completed my degree studies in RMIT and I majored in Marketing. I am currently doing this full time because I know this is what I want in life, to create a ripple effect and to make our future a better place to live in. 

I love to travel because I get to see different people, experience different lifestyles and learn different culture and languages. I also blog during my free time every now and then because I express better in typing out than saying.

Oh! If you do not know yet, all three of us are introverts! But from scale 1-10, I am on 5.

I really hope this small project of ours can really set the trend in our society to do good without looking at our personal beliefs. 

My favourite quote, "Be kind, be honest, be loving, be true and all these things will come back to you" Not really looking for any return, I only hope we can create a ripple effect. 

Name: Jimmy Kwok

Age: 24

Jimmy is the tallest guy among us! He always gets asked if he stood on a chair while taking photo. LOL. He is our technical guy.

He graduated from International University of Batam under Information Systems. He used to study at Bangkok for 6 months (Ssssshh, he managed to get himself a girlfriend there. Sorry girls, he ain't available!).

He likes to read news and articles on his iPad and a cup of tea beside him, especially green tea! He works as a Web programmer and dreams to open a cafè in the future.

He joined Birthday in a Box because he likes to see the smiles and feel the happiness of kids. He hopes he can do his best to create a good memory for those kids together with all the members of Birthday in a Box. Fighting!

His favourite quote is "Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new."

P.s: From the scale 1-10, he is on 12 for being an introvert hahaha! He is the most introvert between us three!

Name: Lisa Tjee

Age: 25

Majoring in Accounting, Lisa had graduated from International University of Batam. She is a pro when it comes to accounting and she is also currently working as Finance Accountant. 

She loves to learn new things, which is why for every events, she always looks for new skills to be taught to the children over in the orphanage.

Lisa is like my right hand lady. She helped out A LOT! It was just like, I was on the verge of drowning and someone extended her hand and pulled me out of the water.

Since young her mom always says to her "If we have more, why not help the less with sincerity and without looking for any return because there we made no loss by doing that. For every small little things that we do, it could mean the world to them."

Her favourite quote "Never stop doing little things for others, sometimes this little things occupy the biggest part of their life."
